geeky & girly, vol. 3

Where have I been all week? Well, I have a few potentially exciting things in the works that have been preoccupying most my time. Also, I’ve been slightly scatterbrained so I blinked and suddenly it was Friday again. Not that I’m complaining.
Anywho! I decided it was time for another Geeky & Girly.

First up is my super awesome (and pretty geeky) find:
duckhuntgun

Umm, you’re looking at an actual Duck Hunt gun that’s been upcycled into an iPhone/iPod charger. Please take a moment to appreciate how ridiculously cool this is. As a child of the 80s, I owned an original Nintendo system when I was little and since I was an only child, I didn’t have to share it with anyone and it was AWESOME. I played a lot of Duck Hunt back in the day too. So this basically appeals to both my inner child and my current geeky, iPhone-owning self.

As for the girly find I’m currently loving:
chevronbag

I swore to myself that no matter how popular chevron stripes got, I wouldn’t join in. But I pretty much can’t help myself. This bag is so cute and I really love bright colors. It’s perfect for spring and summer and I wish I could own it immediately, but the last thing I need to do is splurge on another new bag (bags are my 2nd love, right behind shoes). Sigh. At least I can admire the pretty.
And that’s it for this edition of Geeky & Girly! I came into work early this morning in order to leave early because I’m going to a wedding tonight. Who gets married on a Friday, you ask? Alex’s co-worker, apparently. But either way, here’s hoping it’s a grand ol’ time. And it’s the weekend, so I’m looking forward to some time outdoors and the True Blood season premiere on Sunday. :)
