foto friday: winter wonderland.

It took a little longer than usual, but Chicago is finally covered in snow! We’ve had a fairly mild winter up until now. Just earlier this week, it was almost 50 degrees out when WHOOSH–in comes winter with a vengeance! It’s suddenly a winter wonderland out (and freezing).

Snow can be a bit of a pain (especially when you throw in ice and slush), but when you’re not in a hurry, it’s actually kind of nice to walk through. Don’t know if I’ll still be saying the same thing when I have to clean off my car tonight, but other than that, I can’t complain too much. This kind of weather comes with living in the Windy City. :)

Haha, I’m with you there! When I heard the forecast, all I could think was, “Ok, compared to last’s year snowpocalypse, that doesn’t sound too bad.”

Eastern Canada has been crazy with the weather.

A night last week we had an absolute blizzard. You couldn’t see twenty feet in front of you. The next night we had a monsoon.

Between yesterday and tomorrow, there is supposed to be a 30 (American) degree swing.

Ok, so Canada totally wins when it comes to crappy weather, haha. I feel your pain when it comes to a degree swing like that (it can drop 20 degrees at any given notice here) but blizzards aren’t common.
