I keep falling off the blogging bandwagon. But to be fair, I have let myself take the month of January as an adjustment period to the new year. And now that it’s about to end, I’m hoping to take February and make the most of it.
For some reason, I’ve never been a big fan of the month of February. It’s hard to explain but I’m hoping I can change that this year. Beginning first with working on myself. Thanks to my friend Carla, I got to work out for the first time in months on a guest pass at the gym a few blocks from my apartment. And I have to say that it felt really, really good to sweat off some of this winter funk I’ve been in. So I signed up for a month and hopefully will be able to devote myself to going as often as possible, like I did in Austin. It’s only a couple of blocks away and open late, so I have no excuses.
I’ll also take this moment to say farewell to the month of January (even though it technically doesn’t end until tomorrow). I ended this month on a nice note with a fun weekend, in which I had two different lady dates with some of my favorites. On Friday, I had tapas with Carla and watched The Social Network for $5 at the Logan Theater. Last night, I got sushi with Angela and got drinks afterwards in Lincoln Park. And today, I worked out, drank coffee, did some knitting and made a few plans. So here we go.
