It’s been been a bit difficult really jumping into the new year. Being sick and frustrated with work doesn’t really seem to be helping, but whereas I would give up in the past, I’m determined to keep moving forward.
I was reading through my favorite blogs when I stumbled onto a post by the LAMA Blog about this great little idea started by Chris Streger called To Resolve Project. Chris invited fellow artists to contribute their own ideas and resolutions and create iPhone wallpapers to share. The thing about resolutions is that we tend to forget about them, so I think it’s a really great idea to turn them into wallpapers, since your phone screen is something you look at every day (or if you’re me, every 20 minutes).
Here are some of my favorites:
While I’m (clearly) a huge fan of taking pictures with my iPhone, I finally have my digital camera back at my disposal (it died during Lolla and my charger was somewhere at home in Texas). I want more pictures of not just every day things, but of my friends and my life here.
Have I told you guys I’m going to start volunteering soon? I’m really excited to start at 826CHI, a non-profit writing and tutoring center in Wicker Park. I can get there easily from my apartment (it’s a quick walk down Milwaukee) and it seems like great program, so I can’t wait to get involved. Also, 826CHI shares a space with The Boring Store, which may or may not be a store where secret agents can buy spy gadgets.
For right now, this is what my iPhone screen looks like:
Be sure to check out all the other great wallpapers up for grabs at To Resolve Project. I hope it helps inspire a few people to get up and get going in 2011.
